If you've never shaved using a shaving soap verses a gel or lather you should really give this a try. Using shaving soap with a brush lifts your beard and whiskers to stand up and not being pushed down which is what you get when you lather with your hands and OTC shaving cream or gel. I get a smooth shave and easier to clean up afterwards. Gel & lather require a thorough rinsing but this soap rinses with little effort and doesn't leave a residue on your skin or in the sink.
